Podcast Premiers to Showcase Frontline Influencers in Fight Against HIV

The Elton John AIDS Foundation has been working hard with both celebrities and grass roots activists effecting change and challenging stigma. Now a new podcast series starts to talk to some of the people they have worked with. In a press release, the Foundation explains

"It only takes one person to spark change. From those with their name in lights to the frontline heroes working every day in communities around the world, progress is driven by people willing to speak out, challenge stigma, and fight for lives too often overlooked.

Today, the inaugural Elton John Impact Awards premieres — a podcast series created by iHeartMedia and Procter & Gamble — featuring personal conversations with Elton John and David Furnish, and six trailblazers whose lifelong work has inspired change: Chappell Roan, Jonathan Bailey, Billie Jean King, Orville Peck, Laverne Cox and Melissa Etheridge.

“Hearing their stories and reflecting on how far we’ve come, and how far we still have to go, is deeply humbling. This is history that cannot be forgotten and these are voices that must be heard.” Elton John

Hosted by Billy Porter and Elvis Duran, with a performance of ‘Your Song’ by Dove Cameron, it's a powerful series that will move and inspire you — and one that drives critical visibility and funding to the Foundation and other organisations on the frontlines."
