14/08/2024

As Team GB returned home to the United Kingdom after the Paris Olympics, the Metro newspaper reports that diving legend, gay icon and pin up Tom Daley has announced that he is retiring from Olympic Diving.  Mr Daley has five medals, including a gold that he clinched at the Tokyo Olympics last time round.  Mr Daley has become one of the most recognisable faces in sport and as such. is a well known gay man in the public eye, although he has on occasion also said that he prefers not to put too much of a label on his sexual orientation.  Mr Daley was a GB flag bearer at the Paris Olympics.  The thirty year old has grown up in the public eye since his popularity first peaked at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.  He is married to screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and has two children.
