An email circular from London based gay and bi men's fetish shop, Fetish Daddy, reports that all roads over the weekend of 5th to 8th November will lead to Chicago, where Mister International Rubber is taking place. It will be just a few days after Hallowe'en and close to Day of the Dead celebrations, and is perfect a festival as you can get this time of year, as people will be dressing up and engaging in fantasy role play. Fetish Daddy say that they will have a stall at the market place of the Rubber Festival. The chief, but not the only, sponsor of the festival is British based fetish and BDSM hook up site for gay, bi and pan men, known as Recon. The event can trace its roots back to a contest held in 1992, Mister Vulcan Rubber, but over the years, ownership has changed along with organisational changes too. In 2023 it was announced that beginning with MIR28, in 2024, the MIR International Rubber Weekend would become inclusive of all gender identities. Three new titles were added to the MIR Contest, including: Ms. International Rubber; Mx. International Rubber; and MIR International Rubber Ambassador; alongside our existing title Mr. International Rubber. Additionally, the official name of the weekend was changed from Mr. International Rubber to simply MIR. Rooms at the Marriot hotel, where the event takes place, are totally sold out, but you can still get places at other hotels and register for the contest and weekend of parties, markets and socialising. Please visit https://mirubber.com/ for details. And we wish an exciting weekend to all participants, whilst we remember to practice safer sex.
