Gay London Life Bar Mag Celebrates Bank Hols

03/05/2025

Gay London Life, one of the few surviving bar rags from the days of multiple LGBTQIA+ magazines that were available from pubs, clubs, alternative bookstores and community meeting places, marks the month of May in its new edition, out now.  The magazine notes that this month has two Bank Holiday weekends, Beltane / International Workers Day on 3rd to 6th May and Whitsun on 24th to 26th May.  They've been in touch to tell the queer population of London what is packed into their May edition.

"

Let us tell you what’s in store for you this month…

JOCK NIGHT, the theatre show inspired by Manchester’s biggest and most notorious club event, lands at the Seven Dials Playhouse this May. We preview the show in this edition of Gay London Life – it’s not to be missed!

We get the lowdown from Antoin, Brand Manager of FWL, ahead of Fetish Week London’s return to the capital this July.

DJ of the Month comes from DILF’s very own Chris Todd, who talks us through some of his favourite clubland tracks.

Our resident theatre buff, Thomas Magill, shares his latest adventures hopping between London’s finest stages.

Cabaret aficionado Jason Reid interviews Divina de Campo in a no-holds-barred conversation ahead of her show at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on 7th May.

We look ahead to As One in the Park on 19th July and give you the heads-up on what to expect – it’s bound to be a scorcher.

Next stop: Ted’s Place in West London, as we pop in for a pint with the guv’nor, Ted Barnham. He shares what his venue means to him and what’s coming up over the next few months.

Health & Wellbeing guru Taofique Folarin shares his love of running – and why you should get into it!

This month’s Going Out is full of the best places to party this May, capturing all the double bank holiday madness.

PICS, PICS, PICS galore as we get down at DILF, beef it up at BEEFMINCE, and party like sailors at the Old Ship, Limehouse.

MJ Palmer spills the beans about his new party, JOCK XXX, launching this month at MA1 Bunker.

Finally, our blonde bombshell Topher unpacks the implications of the Supreme Court’s recent ruling.

All this and more in our May edition of Gay London Life. Read the digital edition here.

Or support your local LGBTQ+ venue – pop in for a pint or a dance, and grab the latest print version while you’re there.

Whatever you do this May, have fun and stay safe."
