Grampian Hospital Radio, our colleagues who broadcast from studios in Inverness to NHS facilities across the highlands of Scotland, might just well have held the most northerly Pride event on the British mainland.
On June 18th, the two hour Pride special was transmitted from the station, hosted by Craig Duthie. It brought together a mix of uplifting music, Pride anthems, and feel-good favourites while recognising the importance of love, diversity, inclusion, and being proud of who you are.
In a press, release, Grampian Hospital Radio explained further, "Pride is a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, reflect on progress towards equality, and support a society where everyone can feel accepted and valued. Through music and positive messages, the programme aims to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all listeners.
Craig Duthie said: “The Feel Good Factor is all about positivity and bringing people together through music. This special Pride Party show is a chance to celebrate diversity, friendship, and the freedom to be yourself while enjoying some fantastic tunes.”
Whether you’re celebrating Pride, supporting friends and family, or simply looking for an afternoon of great music, tune in to Grampian Hospital Radio on Thursday 18 June from 3pm to 5pm for this special Pride celebration."
