Flag Waving Gets Tasty in Bristol as Rainbows Replace Racism

Rainbows have been blooming in parts of South Bristol. Several months after right wing activists put up St George's Crosses and Union Flags on lampposts and amenity poles in districts of South Bristol, so they have quietly been joined by other flags, including European flags, international flags and rainbow / pride flags. The additions have not seen the originals removed, but have just moderated their effect and transmitted a more inclusive message. No group has claimed responsibility for the flag raising, but many local refugee and LGBTQIA people have expressed gratitude that the new flags have been raised.
