Some time ago we reported an exciting development in the world of queer media, with the gay magazine BEAR, dedicated to the more hirsute and larger size gay and bi men of the community, going back into production as a physical publication. Now, their brothers at the Bear World portal, report that 2027 is shaping up to be a very significant one for the Bear community.

In a press release, they say "This year’s Key West Bear Weekend is still two weeks away... so why are we already talking about 2027?!

Well, the answer is simple... it’s going to be HUGE, and we just couldn’t keep the secret to ourselves anymore!

In 2027, Key West Bear Weekend is celebrating their 10th birthday as part of the Big Bear Birthday Celebration, along with some big milestones in the bear community:

• 40 years since the original BEAR magazine was first published
• 1 year since BEAR returned to print
• 15 years of Bear World Magazine
• 10 years of Key West Bear Weekend

To mark the occasion, the organizers are throwing their biggest and best weekend yet, with special guest host SeattleDad, everyone’s favorite bear adult star, joining the fun all weekend!

Plus, they’re planning the biggest birthday celebration ever... think Birthday-themed pool parties, free gifts for everyone, free bubbles on arrival, an ’80s-themed party night, and cake... lots of cake!

The full schedule will be released in January, so keep an eye out for it."
