Uniting to Promote Community Wellbeing

A host of prominent LGBTQ+ figures are joining forces for a major fundraising event, Queer Health 2026, dedicated to transforming health outcomes for the community. The event will be held at London’s Battersea Arts Centre on 2nd July, the Thursday preceding the London Pride weekend.

The evening aims to raise vital funds for two key organisations: Not A Phase, which supports the adult transgender community, and the LGBT Foundation. The goal is to directly improve the health and healthcare experiences of LGBTQIA+ people across the UK.

Confirmed participants include actress Yasmin Finney, known for her role in Heartstopper, and Dani St James, CEO of Not A Phase. They will be joined by clinical leaders like Dr Michael Brady, the National Advisor for LGBT+ Health, and Dr Paul Martin, CEO of the LGBT Foundation. Also taking part are Baroness Elizabeth Barker, sexual health influencer Reed Amber, Laura-Rose Thorogood of LGBT Mummies, and Jacob Stokoe, founder of Transparent Change CIC.

The programme will feature panel discussions centred on four core themes: "The Beauty of Transition", "Sexual Health, Uncensored", "Foundations of Family", and "Mental Resilience & Longevity".

Queer Health 2026 is launched against a troubling backdrop of worsening attitudes towards LGBTQ+ people globally. In the UK, research indicates more than a quarter of LGBTQ+ people have experienced negative healthcare, a figure that rises to over half for trans individuals.

With 22% of Generation Z now identifying as LGBTQ+, advocates stress the urgent need for systemic change in healthcare provision and understanding. Further participant announcements for the event are expected in the coming weeks.

Tickets will be available from Saturday, 28th February via wearequeerhealth.com. More information can be found by following @wearequeerhealth on Instagram.
