US Forces Protect Personnel from Hate Stances

19/04/2022

The US based gay magazine the Advocate reports that the United States Air Force is keeping an eye on a raft of Republican led anti-LGBTQIA initiatives around the country and is offering assistance to the brave LGBTQIA people who serve in the Air Force and its subsidiary services.  The help could even extend to helping reassign LGBTQIA+ families to different parts of the US where there are less restrictions on their lives.  “The health, care and resilience of our  Air Force personnel and their families is not just our top priority — it’s essential to our ability to accomplish the mission,” Air Force Undersecretary Gina Ortiz Jones said in the press release.  Ms Jones is one of the many lesbian members of staff working in the Biden Administration.  Todd Weiler a former officer at the Department of Defense told the Huffington Post Online Newspaper that “I have never run into something like what we are experiencing now: local- and state-sanctioned discrimination from Republicans.  It is reprehensible”.
