Corbyn Helps Kick off Trans Awareness Week

Pink News reports that socialist former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn MP, who has a strong track record on LGBTQIA equality, helped kick of Transgender Awareness Week by encouraging people to share their “strength and joy” in being trans. Mr Corbyn said: “This Trans Awareness Week, let’s empower trans communities in their struggle for justice, and celebrate their strength and joy. There is no debate: Trans rights are human rights.” Mr Corbyn is speaking on Thursday 17th November at an event organised by the Haldan Society of Socialist Lawyers at Hamilton House in Mabledon Place, London. He will be speaking on “How the Police Try to Suppress Protest”.
