Out.com, the website of the legendary magazine of the same name, reports that a trans model is making waves on the catwalk. Mey Rude, for the website, takes up the story and reports "Alex Consani is a 21-year-old trans model from the Bay Area and is making history as the first trans woman to be nominated for Model of the Year at the British Fashion Council's annual Fashion Awards. Earlier this year, she was one of the many featured "Hot Internet Girls" along with Emma Chamberlain, Julia Fox, Hari Nef, and Rachel Sennott in Charli xcx's music video for "360." Now, she's up for one of the biggest modeling awards in the world. The Model of the Year Award "recognises the global impact of a model who over the last 12 months has dominated the industry" and has "an influence that transcends the catwalk" as someone who "has made an outstanding contribution to the industry, garnering numerous editorial and advertising campaigns throughout the year."
