One of the family of community radio stations that broadcasts “ShoutOut” has announced that it will be rebuilding its operating systems and as a result will be off the air for several weeks. The Wave Radio in Weston-Super-Mare, has been providing a community radio service online since 2018 and has a lively roster of programming, including several LGBTQIA fronted shows. However, a fault in the computer playout system used by the station has knocked it off the air. Senior technician Rich Nibblett reports that it will be several weeks of work, but that the station should be back online and sounding brighter than ever, during October. We wish the team the best of luck and look forward to programmes restarting!
