On Boxing Night, if you are not out and about on the LGBTQIA+ scene, then you might like to spend an evening in front of the television, tucking into the left overs from Christmas Dinner food.

Channel 5 Television in the UK presents an evening of programmes for the LGBTQIA+ music enthusiast. at 7pm, ABBA, The Carpenters and Dolly Parton - all camp icons, are celebrated in the transmission of rare footage that had been assumed lost. Then, at 8pm, ABBA versus Queen - who were the Greatest Band? Music experts and fans will slog it out in this light hearted documentary. At 11.30pm, Queen are seen live in concert at the Hammersmith Odeon on Christmas Eve 1975, an electric concert, which includes one of the first live renderings of their Christmas Number 1 single, "Bohemian Rhapsody". Finally, for night owls up all night, there is from 1am to 3am a celebration of the life of George Michael, the philanthropic gay soul singer, whose beneficence only became widely known after his sad death at Christmas 2016. So, bottles of wine (or non alcoholic beverage) open, sweets and nibbles set out, and enjoy an evening in of queer musical entertainment.
