Viewers Turn Off for Right Wing Talk Network

30/04/2022

The Daily Mirror reports that viewers to the new right wing talk television network, spectacularly titled “Talk TV”, switched off “in droves” as the launch night got underway.  Piers Morgan was interviewing Donald Trump, and viewers are reported not to have liked what they saw, leaving the network with a poor ratings showing.   One wrote: “I’m out, even morbid curiosity couldn’t keep me tuned in. Not interested in free speech just outrage grift for views.”  Mr Morgan is known for making several anti-transgender outbursts when he was employed by the ITV early morning show “Good Morning Britain”.  However, on another occasion he railed against homophobic religious extremists and was heard to defend gay people.
