LGBTQIA Bookstores will join with their independent cohorts across the United Kingdom to mark Independent Bookshop Week from 13th to 20th June. One of these valuable community assets, Queer Lit in Manchester, reports "Independent Bookshop Week is a celebration of how books can shape a community. As an independent LGBTQ+ bookshop, every book purchased, event attended and recommendation shared helps us continue to create a safe, welcoming space for queer people and allies.
