In sports news, the independent newspaper B247 reports that the city's gay friendly rugby team, the Bristol Bisons, have celebrated a historic win over London based King's Cross Steelers to win the International Gay Rugby’s Southern Development League. The Bisons were in celebratory spirit, and said " we could not be prouder. A huge thank you to our players, coaches, members, supporters and all Bisons before us. We couldn’t have done it without you." Ths Bisons face another challenge this weekend, as they participate in the International Union Cup tournament in Birmingham, an annual contest for LGBTQIA rugby teams from across the globe. Live Streaming will be available from the Union Cup website, and selected highlights broadcast on the LGBT+ radio station Gaydio.
