Tributes Paid to Queer Actor Anne Heche

Films & Movies

Tributes have been paid to the actor Anne Heche, who died on August 12th following injuries sustained in a car accident. Ms Heche was noted for a wide and varied acting career and was also famous for dating Ellen de Generes between 1997 and 2000, during which time the pair became known as Hollywood’s first open lesbian “power couple”. Ms Heche had relationships with men and women through her life and is survived by several children. Ms Heche was also open about her mental health issues and happily overcame some of them before her passing. Pink News reported that Ellen de Generes posted a simple message on her social media after the news broke of Ms Heche’s passing. “This is a sad day. I’m sending Anne’s children, family and friends all of my love.”
