Not So Jolly Holiday after "Angry Man" Comedy

16/04/2022

London based internet radio network Queerly Broadcasting reports on its Twitter feed that activists are requesting that Royal Caribbean cruises, which prides itself on being listed by the website GayTravel.com as an LGBTQIA friendly business, look into a comedian hired to perform on one of its cruise ships.  The man, who calls himself Rick D’Elia is reported to have been utterly preoccupied with minority groups during his act, and spent most of the time not cracking jokes, but expressing how much he detested transgender people.  Meidas Media Network, which campaigns for democracy on the internet reported that D’Elia had sent hate mail to liberal and pro-human rights groups.  One twitter user remarked that basically he was “just another angry man” masquerading as a comic.
