Time for an "H" for Human Passport Category

The quarterly journal of current affairs and international liberalism, the New Internationalist, has long supported LGBT rights.  In its current issue, which retails at seven pounds forty five from all good bookshops and newsagents, the magazine includes an article from Vanessa Baird asking “What would happen if we did away with gender identities on passports?”.  Vanessa concludes that efforts made by some countries to allow for a third gender or a non-specified identity are progressive and says maybe one day, we will have just one category on official forms – an “H” for human
