London based singer/songwriter Paul Middleton is known for his beautiful voice and cover versions of popular songs. After losing his mother to cancer, Paul decided to donate proceeds from his first two cover albums to cancer research. He’s also the ambassador for the K-woods foundation which supports Dementia UK.
Paul has just released his first single “Hanging in There”, the title song to a movie of the same name, raising awareness of testicular cancer. Written in collaboration with Lee Turner, the tongue-in-cheek named ballad features in a music video you can watch below.
The indie movie “Hanging In There” is based on a stage play by Geoff Saunders who was recovering from testicular cancer himself when he wrote it, Geoff then went on to write the screenplay. Geoff told ShoutOut that several of the cast have survived testicular cancer themselves.
Directed by Darren Scott on a shoestring budget, “Hanging in there” has been dubbed “The movie that can save lives.”
