Freddie Mercury in his Own Words

21/11/2021

As we approach the thirtieth anniversary of his sad passing at the end of the month, many networks are preparing to pay tribute to the life and achievements of bisexual Asian hero Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of acclaimed rock band Queen.  Sky Arts has already broadcast the highlights of the tribute concert held in April 1992 which featured among many others Lisa Stansfield, Annie Lennox and Elton John.  Next weekend, 21st November, Channel Five looks back at Mercury through his own words, in a series of rare interviews with the man himself from throughout his career.  Tune in a 9pm on Sunday evening.
