On Saturday evening, 27th December, SKY Documentaries channel will broadcast "Becoming Madonna", in which the gay icon, once described by Boyz Magazine as "Our Glorious Leader" (!) looks back at her earlier years, as a new wave, post punk and post disco musician, eking out a living in New York's underground and bohemian club scene at the beginning of the 1980s. Collaborators and acquaintances are on hand to help relive those years. The programme goes out at 11.20pm. Sky Documentaries is a British pay television channel owned and operated by Sky, a division of Comcast, which launched on 27 May 2020.
