Club Drug to Be Rendered a Class B Substance

05/04/2021

The club drug GHB, which is popular in some of the heavier SM and leather / rubber parts of the gay male scene, is to have its classification changed from Class C to a Class B drug. BBC Radio 4 says that its upgrading to a more serious issue, comes as a result of its use in a number of rapes and murders, amongst heterosexual club goers as well as in the gay scene. There will be harsher penalties for people found in possession of the drug.
