The Intersex Pride Flag, a yellow flag with a purple circle in the middle

11/01/2022

Artlyst.com reports that intersex curator and artistic creator Ela Xora is curating an exhibition at Cambridge University, entitled “Through a glass, darkly : Unmasking ancient deities and intersex identities”.  Displayng masks, paintings and vessels from the Greco-Roman Classical period, Xora hopes to promote a discussion on the continuity of intersex people through time, referencing the many Gods and Goddesses through human history who have had intersex characteristics.  The event will be attended by some of the worlds leading academics and is a major spotlight for Intersex people so that they finally gain equal human rights in UK law says Xora.  Xora has said that unless the UK Government begins to listen to intersex people, they will be planning legal action during 2022.
