Deaf LGBTQIA+ Network to Hold Bristol Event

11/05/2022

As Deaf Awareness Week in the UK comes to an end, Deaf LGBTQIA people are looking forward to a weekend of socialising, workshop, activism and visibility in the wonderful West Country City of Bristol in June.  The organisation DeafRainbow is a group, which bridges the LGBTQIA and Deaf communities, giving support and services for a nationwide client group.  The annual gathering Deafab comes to Bristol’s historic and vibrant gay and trans village on the weekend of 10th to 12th June.  Events kick off with drinks at the friendly Old Market Tavern on the Friday night.  Guests might like to sample the Tavern’s delicious and wide ranging vegan and totally plant based cuisine.  Workshops take place throughout Saturday at the Novotel in Central Bristol and the weekend winds down on Sunday with an afternoon of drinks and more food at the Old Market Tavern.  For more information or for tickets, all LGBTQIA+ Deaf people can visit deafrainbow.org.uk.
