Italy's top LGBTQ radio station DeeGay FM reports that in Central Europe, another advertiser is showing the power of love as the festive season approaches. After Oreo and Douwe Egberts (Dutch coffee brand), Etsy, the craft e-commerce site, also wanted an advertisement showing acceptiance same-sex couples in their families. For the holiday season, they've created an advertising campaign based on three stories, each showing the power of a meaningful gift. It is a story of acceptance, one of inclusion and one of connection, che goes through unique and personalized gifts that can be found on their e-commerce site. The first, with an LGBT + theme, is called "New Guy" and shows the story of Brandon and David, a couple of gay African American boys who are about to enter David's parents' home for the Christmas dinner, who reassures Brandon that he will meet his family on that occasion: "Don't be worried, they'll love you." Brandon receives a personalized gift from his father-in-law. The commercial is running now on European television networks and online.
