People's Republic Project Celebrates Pride


The radical arts project and community group The People's Republic of Stokes Croft is advertising its range of exclusive Pride themed porcelain wear to mark the start of Pride Month. With a lovely introduction in its latest web letter outlining the story of the Pride movement's origins in early Gay Liberation, the project, which is non-profit making, links to its LGBTQ collection of gifts, including mugs reminding that Stonewall was a riot, and a book on nineteenth century socialist councillor Hugh Holmes Gore who was possibly a gay man in a difficult era for homosexual men.
