Good Law Project helps Inclusive School Resist Transphobic Parents

The Good Law Project has issued a press release detailing their latest work in defending transgender students from the machinations of right wing parents. They explain "Schools should be places where children’s safety and wellbeing come first – not battlegrounds for other people’s politics.

Right now, one state school that has worked carefully to keep all its students safe is under threat.

The school is facing legal action from a student and their parent for not imposing a blanket rule that toilets and changing rooms must only be used according to biological sex – regardless of the harm this would cause to trans children.

We’re supporting the school to push back. But legal challenges are expensive, and schools need help standing up to pressure. Can you help fund the fight?" "The school acted lawfully and responsibly, making individual decisions for each individual child. Blanket bans on trans pupils are not required by the Equality Act and raise serious legal and human rights concerns.

We can’t allow young people to be used as pawns in a culture war.

Wouldn't it be good to see the anti-trans extremists made to pause in a court case. Well, this is an opportunity. To donate to Good Law Project and the progressive school in question, visit https://goodlawproject.org/crowdfunder/defend-trans-kids-in-school/
