New Coalition Against Far Right Forms

The left wing weekly paper, Socialist Worker, reports that a broad ranging coalition has formed, comprising a spectrum of groups and charities, ranging from the radical left to faith groups, trade unions, green campaigners and community activists, to stand against the far right wing in Britain. The paper says "It brings together over 50 organisations “against the growing division fuelled by the far right”. They include the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Friends of Al-Aqsa, two of the groups that have organised the national demonstrations against Israel’s genocide. Bands Kneecap and Fontaines DC, musicians Paloma Faith and Charlotte Church, comedians Lenny Henry and Asim Chaudhry and actors Juliet Stevenson and Christopher Eccleston are among its backers. Musician Leigh-Anne Pinnock, formerly of Little Mix, said, “I’m standing with Together to call out far right extremism and racism for what they are—dangerous and divisive. We have to protect our communities, defend our freedoms and stand up to hate together.” acceptable for anything”. The Muslim Council of Britain, Friends of the Earth, Abortion Rights UK and many more organisations back the alliance.
