LGBTQIA Friendly Town Hay Ready for Xmas

15/12/2023

Hay On Wye, a small village on the English and Welsh border country in amongst beautiful countryside, has long been a popular LGBTQIA travel destination, with its organic cafes, fairtrade and ethical shops, and its many bookstores, including the LGBT+ community bookstore Gay on Wye.  Now, reports the local radio station Sunshine Radio Hereford, "Hay Festival Winter Weekend 2023 programme is out now! Taking place across Hay-on-Wye November 23-26.  Laugh your socks off and take part in a singalong with comedian, writer, gay hero and actor Matt Lucas in this interactive event to introduce his new children’s book.   The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas is about Leo, a boy who wishes away Christmas. But when he wakes up to find Christmas really has disappeared, Leo sets out on a mission to undo his wish.   Lucas has recorded 20 original songs to accompany the book, bringing the joy of a musical to book form. Join Lucas for a singalong in this early festive treat. This all takes place on Saturday 25 November, 10am".
