Tom Daley Considers Return to Olympic Diving

21/08/2023

Gay Olympian and hero Tom Daley has told reporters that he might be tempted to become the first British diver to compete in five Olympics at next year's Paris Games.  The twenty nine year old said that requests from his children and a visit to Colorado had ignited a passion for the sport from which he was, in effect, in retirement.  The Independent newspaper says that Mr Daley won Olympic gold alongside Matty Lee in the men’s synchronised 10m platform at the Tokyo Games, his fourth Olympics after his debut as a teenager at Beijing 2008 and fourth medal after a trio of bronzes.  “I don’t know if this is going to be a completely silly idea of me getting back in the pool or an opportunity for me to do this recreationally and have a bit of fun without any pressure, or if my body is going to be able to get back on a diving board and dive half-decently." said Mr Daley in his popular You Tube channel.
