Queer Lionesses Take To The Pitch For Cup

14/07/2023

In sports news, ITV-1 has begun advertising its coverage of the Women's World Cup later this summer.  The televised matches are due to commence on 20th July.  After the debacle of the Men's Cup in Qatar last year, during which FIFA's homophobia and corruption was thrown into sharp relief, the Women's game has more to offer the LGBTQIA communities.  For starters, there are many lesbian, bisexual, pansexual and asexual women who participate in the game, active at all levels from the national squads to grassroots teams.  In addition, many clubs are trans friendly too.  One of the stations with which we network, the excellent Trans Radio UK, has sponsored its own team, TRUK United.  They have enjoyed many friendly matches against women's teams from across the South East of England.
