Tories Still on for Drubbing Despite Papers

16/04/2024

There is little appetite in the country for a Conservative change of leader, which would yield a new Prime Minister, according to a poll by market research company Opinium quoted in the Guardian newspaper.  In particular, the homophobic and transphobic Kemi Badenoch leading the party would actually lead to a stronger lead for the Labour opposition, increasing its already large lead over the Tories to a staggering twenty four points, which if repeated in a General Election, would lead to the most humiliating wipe out of the Conservative Party for the last two hundred years.  The finding underlines the fact, that for all the efforts of the hate filled right wing newspapers, the moral panic around transgender women, is not resonating with the vast majority of the British public.
