Owen Jones Vacates Twitter After Troll Abuse

Gay Guardian journalist Owen Jones has removed himself from active engagement with social media, and will from now on just be using his platforms to share content from the web, according to a report from LGBT newswire Pink News. Jones has been a prominent left of centre campaigner, but says that being on Twitter and other platforms just gives hate groups the chance to rant and rave at him. It is, he said, rather like going in to a room full of people just shouting and screaming. Mr Jones will continue to write for publications such as the Guardian, New Humanist, and the New Statesman.
