Camille Paglia will be guesting on BBC Radio Three's “Free Thinking” programme on Tuesday evening. Ms Paglia is the author of “Sexual Personae” published in 1990, and since then has spent much time at war with feminists and much of the LGBT movement, even though she has been in numerous lesbian relationships and identifies as transgender. Paglia identifies as a libertarian feminist, and her approach to history, culture and analysis of politics frequently brings her into conflict with other thinkers. One of the characteristics of Paglia's writing is her tendency to be very personal in her often witty, but scathing attacks on other academics. On the “Free Thinking” programme, the BBC says that Paglia will be chatting about her ideas, feminism and the state of gender politics in the United States today. The programme goes on BBC Radio Three in the UK at ten o'clock on Tuesday night, 16th July, on FM, DAB and digital television packages.
