Dancing Hero Robin Windsor Passes On

The Daily Mirror newspaper reports that gay hero and noted dancer Robin Windsor, who rose to fame on the BBC-1 programme Strictly Come Dancing,  has passed on at the age of forty four.  As yet, no cause of death was given Mr Windsor, but he was open about his struggles with both physical and mental health over many years and inspired others to seek help.  Robin, who was once a cover star of the Gay Times magazine, was described by television presenter Lorraine Kelly as "lovely, kind, gorgeous man and so good at what he did".  Tributes from many other stars and celebrities emphasised how kind Mr Windsor was.  Robin's former fiance Davide Cini said he was "overwhelmed" at the "tragic loss" of the Strictly Come Dancing.  He said "I deeply appreciate everyone's messages following Robin's untimely passing. Please understand that I'm currently overwhelmed and unable to respond individually. Your support means a lot to me. Thank you for respecting my need for space as I come to terms with this tragic loss."  LGBTQIA+ newswire Pink News reported that British drag legend Myra DuBois paid tribute to Windsor as “part of our family” as a regular at London LGBTQ+ venue Royal Vauxhall Tavern.   "I'm joining the many expressing shock and anguish this morning at the cruel loss of @Robinwindsor,” Myra wrote. “Robin was often in the audience with us at @thervt and gave much as an audience member as he did as a performer. He BEAMED at you from the crowd. A part of our family. RIP.”
