It is a well established truth that there is a considerable amount of homophobic prejudice in the Irish Traveller community, with Mikey Walsh's columns in Gay Times magazine and associated books blowing the lid off the lives of gay travellers in recent years. Now Patrick Connors, a twenty eight year old, tells his story to the magazine “Attitude”. Familial acceptance, but violence and intimidation from other travellers make for harrowing reading.
