We have always had a philosophy at "ShoutOut" of supporting all LGBTQIA+ media. At our level of voluntary broadcasting, there is always room for more to serve the rainbow community. So it is that we send our condolences to the LGBTQIA+ dance music and community station Gaydio, whose original team member Simon Peel has passed on to the realm of our LGBTQIA+ ancestors at the age of fifty four. Media website RCS reported that Kriss Herbert-Noble, Gaydio Network Content Director said: “Simon has been a part of Gaydio from Day one, from the four week pop up broadcasts we did, to launching full time, Simon has been instrumental in making the nerdy things work for Gaydio." The station also released a statement saying "As well as on air, Simon was instrumental in keeping the station on air with his technical knowledge. It’s fair to say there was little that with a longer cable and roll of gaffer tape he couldn’t fix. His passion and commitment to Gaydio never stopped and often went above and beyond, often being on call all-times-of day. He did it all in a voluntary capacity, believing in value of operating an LGBTQ+ station."
