Celebrating 10 Years of Marriage Equality

BBC Radio 1's magazine programme on Emotional and Financial Wellbeing, Life Hacks, has marked the tenth anniversary of Marriage Equality, which was introduced to the UK in March 2014.  The programme discussed the reasons why a new consensus across mainstream political parties was reached on equality and how this translated into legislative reform during 2013.  They also sounded a positive note, with many younger people who have grown up with Marriage Equality in place being surprised that there was a time when samesex couples could not tie the proverbial knot.
