Pink Rules on International Day of Pink

The International Day of Pink fell on Wednesday 10th April.  Whilst the pop star Pink is an LGBTQIA+ ally as well as a talented musician, this day was for the colour pink and not the star.  Organisers explained on facebook "It started in Canada when a couple of students saw another boy being bullied at their school for wearing a pink shirt.  They rallied their friends to all wear pink to support him.   It's become a day to call out bullying and discrimination wherever you may see it -especially relating to homophobia and transphobia."    Vancouver Pride Society
