Standing Up for Human Rights in Iran

Activist Peter Tatchell has been among those standing in solidarity with the many groups in Iran who are persecuted by the clerical regime which stole power in 1979 and has been in complete control of the oppressive state ever since. Iran persecutes & jails trade unionists, journalists, feminists, LGBTs, students, Sunni Muslims & ethnic minorities such the Arabs, Kurds & Baluchi people. Peter says “Iran's so-called election is on 18 June, with all progressive candidates banned. People in Iran are boycotting the sham They demand the overthrow of the anti-democratic & anti-human rights clerical fascist regime”.
