Pussy Riot Speak Out on Russian Politics

This week's issue of the street sold newsmagazine The Big Issue meets up with Pussy Riot, the feminist punk rock group that was imprisoned for their protests against the Russian government and who have stood up against homophobia in the increasingly authoritarian state. The band explain that things are now considerably worse for minorities than they were under the communist Soviet Union, with people being imprisoned and brutalised for minor offences perceived to criticise the government.
