LGBT Crackdown in Azerbaijan

Radio Free Europe, the German based dissident outlet for states with little free media, reports that as many as several hundred gay or transgender people may have been arrested and in cases tortured by the police in Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic which has extremely conservative views on social issues. The crackdown has seen people interrogated for the names and addresses of other LGBT people.
