Gay newspaper the Sydney Star Observer in Australia says that podcaster Christian Hull is taking a stand for body diversity within the LGBTQIA community, embracing thinner, larger, hairier and just different bodies, and encouraging our community in particular, to reject the body fascism of a youth obsessed pop culture. Hull credited non binary singer Sam Smith for the confidence he found to post his photos on social media. Sam Smith faced some abuse on the internet when he shared revealing pictures of himself. Much of this abuse was from homophobic trolls who also hate larger body sizes, but shamefully some came from gay men who had bought into narcissistic culture. Mr Hull said ““I think Sam Smith is stunning. Also their confidence is such an attractive feature.” In promoting his new Only Fans page, Mr Hull said that he also wanted to reach out to older LGBTQIA people. He revealed that he loved the non judgemental attitude of the Queensland seaside resort of Noosa, where older people predominate. He said “I love going to Noosa for that reason. I feel like I fit in with the wealthy half-naked retirees. I saw men in Budgie Smugglers, younger guys of all shapes and sizes. I thought it was hot! So I tried it. At the gym of all places. In the steam room. And what a surprise! no one f-ing cared.”
