Sky News met up with life coach Charlie Hoare to mark Anti-Bullying Week on Wednesday. With the news that one in three children have reported bullying during the lockdown period since March, this year’s campaign is more important than ever. Charlie spoke of his own personal experiences of being bullied as a young person, and demonstrated how these adverse experiences can have major and profound impacts on later life, often involving psychological problems and emotional health difficulties and requiring years of therapy to sort out. Bullying is a major campaigning issue for LGBTQ activists, who recognize that gay and trans youth may be vulnerable to being targeted by bigots and trolls, both online and off.
