How to be a Trans Ally - Top Trade Union Mag

UNISON, Britain's largest trade union, has published a guide to being a Trans Ally in its November magazine, “U”. The two page article addresses issues such as deadnaming, challenging prejudice and just being a friend to trans + people. It addresses such issues such as cisgender people's anxiety about what terminology and pronouns to use and in what circumstances. But it also strikes a light hearted note and reminds people “Above all, trans people are first and foremost people and being trans is just one part of them. Talk to them about other things too – the football, Coronation Street – whatever!”.
