Bale May Join Proposed Boycott of Tech Media

Welsh language magazine Golwg reports that football legend Gareth Bale has added his willingness to join a mooted boycott of social media platforms in an effort to encourage the owning media companies to do something about the levels of racism and other bigotry online. Mr Bale said ““If it was a campaign where a lot of influential people in sport and other forms of life made it on social media to make a statement then I think it could help. If that was the case, I fully support that. ” Thierry Henri in the meanwhile, told ITV's Good Morning Britain show that he had left social media after becoming converend about the link between online bullying, self harm and suicide. “"Recently a lot of players have faced online abuse," Mr Henri said. “I don't think social media is a safe place at the moment.
