LGBTQ+ Jewish People Celebrate Passover

16/04/2022

From sundown on Saturday night is the start of the Jewish festival of Passover, which lasts for eight nights. It is coincidental this year that it falls at the same weekend as Easter. Passover commemorates the end of the ancient Hebrews incarceration in the Empire of Egypt and is marked with cleaning of houses, and the eating of a special seder feast with unleavened food. We send our greetings to all LGBTQIA Jewish people and their friends everywhere, and note the strong links between campaigners against anti-Semitism and against homophobia. United we stand!
