Two eloquent lesbian feminists and women of faith have written in the Guardian their belief that trans people deserve human rights, in an essay that contradicts and challenges those small number of feminists who believe otherwise. “As it happens, we too have received hateful rhetoric for being lesbians and feminists.” they write “But this vitriol pales in comparison to that experienced by our friends in the trans community, who suffer prejudice and discrimination on a daily basis”. The piece is penned by Jayne Ozanne, anglican minister and a member of the General Synod of the Church of England. She is joined by Rabbi Elli Tikvah of Brighton and Hove Synagogue.
