"Everyday Sexism" Bites Chancellor

21/07/2017

South London community radio station, Radio Jackie says that Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond has found himself in the middle of a sexism row after comments made earlier this week.
The MP for Runnymede and Weybridge caused uproar after claiming that ‘driving a train is so easy, even a woman could do it.’ Former Green Party leader Natalie Bennett labelled the remarks as “everyday sexism'. Criticism also came from the train drivers' trade union, the RMT. https://radiojackie.com/ https://www.rmt.org.uk/home/
